A brief introduction to the performance of the closed cooling tower
2022-06-23
The performance characteristics of the closed cooling tower, the closed cooling tower is to place the tubular heat exchanger in the tower, and ensure the cooling effect through the heat exchange between the circulating air, the spray water and the circulating water. Because it is a closed cycle, it can ensure that the water quality is not polluted, and can effectively maintain the efficient operation of the main equipment and improve the service life.
When the outdoor temperature is low, the water spray system can be stopped to save water. In recent years, with the implementation of energy conservation and emission reduction policies and the shortage of water resources, closed cooling towers have been widely used in iron and steel metallurgy, power electronics, machining, air conditioning and other industries. According to the movement direction and wind direction, it can be divided into counter-flow closed cooling tower and cross-flow closed cooling tower.
According to the shell material, it can be divided into: galvanized steel plate closed cooling tower, aluminum-zinc plate closed cooling tower, stainless steel closed cooling tower, glass fiber reinforced plastic closed cooling tower, etc. According to the material of the heat exchanger, it can be divided into copper tube closed cooling tower, stainless steel tube closed cooling tower, carbon steel tube closed cooling tower, titanium tube closed cooling tower, aluminum tube closed cooling tower, etc. According to the type of fan, it can be divided into closed ventilation cooling tower and closed closed cooling tower.
A closed circuit cooling tower is actually an evaporative cooling tower, which is a combination of a cooling tower and a wet cooling tower. This is a horizontal evaporative cooling tower. Process fluid flows through the tube, air flows through the tube, and there is no contact between the two. The closed cooling tower is the deformation and development of the traditional cooling tower. The water in the reservoir at the bottom of the tower is pumped out by the circulating pump and transported to the outside of the pipeline for even spraying. It is not in contact with process fluid hot water or refrigerant and outside air.
When the following situations occur, it should be replaced in time:
1. Scaling, the packing in the tower body is scaled, generally calcium carbonate scale attached to the packing, which is stone-like and hard in texture.
2. When sinking, the packing in the closed cooling tower is contaminated with heavy marl and sometimes breeds a lot of algae, which causes the packing to sink and cannot be used.
3. Aging. After a long time of use, the packing will gradually age, become brittle, and easily damaged due to the erosion of water and air. The packing of high-temperature towers ages faster than ordinary towers, and is usually replaced once every 4-6 years.
4. The packing is seriously damaged due to wrong selection or operation. Each type of cooling tower has a planned operation indicator value. Improper selection will directly lead to serious damage and failure of the cooling tower. However, in terms of important operational indicators such as inlet water temperature and equipment tonnage, if the operational indicator is greater than the planned indicator value due to improper operation, it will also cause serious damage to the packing.
